Mindful Bushwalking

Monthly Mindful Bushwalk

A well-known Vipassana meditation teacher, Munindraji, was once asked why he practiced meditation. He replied: “So I will see the tiny purple flowers by the side of the road as I walk to town each day.”

Mindful walking is an ancient and beautiful practice, that helps us to integrate our mindfulness practice into our everyday life.

Join Sarah and a small group of like-minded people, for mindful bushwalking on the Mornington Peninsula and fall in love with life, just as it is.

Enjoy a half-day (2-3 hour) adventure, including a series of short exercises and meditations along the way. These exercises are designed to calm the mind, open the heart and senses, and enhance your connection to nature.

Research has found that spending time in nature can increase wellbeing, help alleviate stress and mental fatigue, promote creativity, boost the brains ability to think, and enliven the senses.

Embodied practices like mindful walking can rejuvenate our senses and open us up to feelings of wonder, joy, and gratitude, while also calming the mind and relaxing the body.

There will be times where we will practice in silence and also opportunities to chat and socialize.

Mindful bushwalking takes place monthly, on the second Sunday of each month. Participants will need suitable footwear and attire for walking, a water bottle, and snacks (optional). The cost is $20 (payable on the day).

Everything else is just the weather."
